Valentine Pearl Necklace Giveaway
Through Valentine’s Day
$80 Pearl Necklaces for $20
Free for People in Need
“Valentine Pearls” are $80 sterling silver pearl necklaces offered for just $20, or absolutely free to those in need. Fox Fine Jewelry of Ventura is offering 200 of these necklaces to help make people’s Valentine’s Day special. Says Debbie Fox, co-owner of Fox Fine Jewelry, “The necklaces are available for just $20 because many people want a beautiful necklace and prefer to contribute something, as long as it’s extremely affordable. For those in need, the necklaces are free.”
No proof or documents are required to receive a free or reduced price necklace. The 200 necklaces are available in all white, all pink or all silver pearls. Recipients come into Fox Fine Jewelry through Valentine’s Day to pick up their necklace, one per person, while supplies last.
History of Giving
Fox Fine Jewelry began their tradition of giving with “Hearts of Hope” at Valentine’s Day 2009, giving 400 necklaces to the unemployed and people with foreclosed homes. They subsequently led a group of jewelry stores across the U.S. and Canada that grew to 150 as each store pledged to give 100 necklaces to the unemployed.
At Christmas 2009, Fox Fine Jewelry banded with their local jewelry competitors, and together gave away necklaces. “It was an opportunity for us to demonstrate that, especially during the holidays, we can all come together, even with those we wouldn’t normally reach out to” says Fox.
At Mother’s Day 2010, Fox Fine Jewelry honored the wives and mothers of military personnel by giving away 250 necklaces in “Heroes of the Heart.” A special necklace was created, called “Share Ring” with the symbolic words of Unity, Hope and Strength. The women posted their photos and wrote notes on poster boards at Fox Fine Jewelry. After the program ended, the poster boards were put on display at the Port Hueneme base.
