A very few of the touching emails we’ve received:
Just heard about your free necklaces if you lost your job. Thank you for letting the tears I cried today, while watching the news, be happy tears. You are doing a very nice thing. Good luck to you and your family. Huntington Beach, CA
I just saw your story on the channel 4 news regarding the Valentine necklaces that you are giving away. I cannot tell you how touched I was by your generosity. I too, believe that good deeds come back to you. During these trying times for so many people, it is wonderful to hear about people like you. BRAVO and bless you! La Habra, CA
I nearly cried when I saw your offer to give 100 necklaces to those who have lost their jobs. God bless you for making someone else’s Valentine’s very special with your generous heart. Porterville, CA
I live hours away. And I want nothing from you. But I just watched your heart give away on the evening news and cried. Just a little. What a nice thing to do. Thank you for caring about people. You are an inspiration. Murrieta, CA
I just saw your store on the local news in Pittsburgh, PA. GOOD FOR YOU! What you are doing for those less fortunate is absolutely wonderful! More businesses should care about people the way you do! I lost my home to foreclosure back in October 2005. It was hard for my husband and myself to explain to our 3 teenagers why we were having to leave the only home they ever knew. Our home wasn’t just a house – it was our home. All of our animals were buried there and all of our children’s memories were there, as well as all of mine and my husband’s; our good and bad times from the day we were married 23 years ago. When you are forced with foreclosure, you suffer MANY different emotions and uncertainties. You don’t know where to turn or who can help you. You are too embarrassed to face your old friends and neighbors after your “SALE” has been printed in the paper. In fact, you are even too afraid to run into your neighbors at the local grocery store. I used to shop at odd hours just so I didn’t take the chance of running into someone I knew. You have to deal with the emotions of being thrown out of your house – literally. Evans City, PA
Debbie, What you’re doing is amazing. God bless you for offering hope and joy in the lives of others. Rays of sunshine are few and far between when faced with constant bombardment of things gone wrong, especially when there are children involved. God bless you! I’m in a place I’ve not experienced before, first hand. Though my volunteer activities have revolved around the homeless, the unemployed, foster children and elder neglect, I’d never thought that one day, I’d accepting help from the very associations I’ve volunteered with. Due to an accident a few years ago, numerous surgeries, years of rehab, once I was released to go back to work it was difficult for me to gain employment in my field . . . I’ve purged my life. Material things have no meaning. In two weeks, I will be homeless. The family dog now has a new home. . . the TV story of what your company is doing warmed my heart, to see the faces of the people being given something from a stranger for no reason other than it being the right thing to do. Your gestures are making people happy. Your kindness to others added a ray of sunshine to my day. So, thank you. With kindest regards, Richmond, VA
I just wanted to write and say that what you all are doing for Valentine’s Day with the necklaces is truly inspiring. It’s not very often that you see a business, especially a jewelry store, doing something so thoughtful. I had to write and say that what you’re doing is another sign that there are businesses that aren’t just about “the money”, but you’re also about “the people”. My husband and I are among those who are financially struggling, we were also affected by the winter storm that came through last week. I have to admit that I have been extremely bummed out over the past week. But when I see examples of true humanity it touches my heart. So thank you… just hearing about what you’re doing has lifted my spirits today. Clarksville, IN
I just saw the segment on the news about your giveaway. You have shown compassion and great generosity by doing this. I live in Ventura and even though I am not in a position to buy jewelry at the moment, when the time comes, you can bet I will visit your store and encourage others to do the same. With all of the bad news everywhere we go, it is wonderful to see someone with such integrity. God bless you. Ventura, CA
I came across your story on the ABC7 site and just wanted to tell you how much I admire your intent and heart in your necklace giveaway. At such a difficult economic time, you may be struggling in your business, yet you are giving to those who need a lift of their spirits. If our country were less greedy, and others reached out with a kind deed, there’s no telling where the U.S. would be! God bless you! City withheld
I just want to thank you for supporting those that have lost their jobs or homes. I hope this blessing of others blesses you ten-fold! If I was closer, I would love to visit you. I lost my job… but not my hope! Campbell, CA
