Upcoming shows:
"Dreams & Roses" Art show by Ines Monguio & Gayel Childress
March 27 through May 12, 2008.
Ines Monguio and Gayel Childress will display their work at Fox Fine Jewelry in “Dreams & Roses”, an exhibition from March 27, 2008 through May 12, 2008. An artists’ Reception will be Saturday, March 29, 2008 6 to 9 pm.
“My process of creating is both exploration and expression. Sometimes my images tell stories that I hear for the first time when I see the completed work. My art flows out of me, unrelentingly and stubbornly assertive. I can’t force myself to create; it forces me to do what I must. I believe my hands know things that I don’t know. The choice of media, tools, and support seems often to have been made outside of my awareness.”
Gayel Childress is best known for her colorful, fluid and whimsical interpretations of landscapes and figures. Gayel states, “I think of my paintings as a form of poetry, a way to convey my thoughts or feelings through the visual senses.”
