Reception: Saturday, January 18th, 6 - 8 PM Art showing from 1/16 - 3/8
A free spirit, one of Lisa's favorite things is plein air painting since it combines art and the outdoors, two of her favorite things. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz in the late 80s, she worked a few odd jobs and even was an assistant editor for National Geographic Television before deciding to focus on fine art. She enjoys working in series, and is challenging herself to do 30-minute paintings every day.
An avid animal lover, Theresa's paintings depict animals of all kinds, from bears and wolves to buffalo and birds. One of the most striking things about Theresa's work is her use of vivid complementary colors. After earning her BFA in the 80s, she created logos and designs for the NFL as a Senior Art Director before turning her focus to fine art. She hopes her art helps connect people to the animals she portrays.
