He then apprenticed with a renowned jeweler, and in the 1980s, opened his first store in Los Angeles. In 1986, George became a GIA Graduate Gemologist, and moved to Bakersfield, where he operated a successful trade shop, specializing in repairs and custom pieces for local jewelry stores.

Fox Fine Jewelry Moves to Ventura
In 1998 George and Debbie moved to Ventura and opened Fox Fine Jewelry in downtown Ventura, CA. Their “showroom” was tiny: 100 square feet!
In 2001, Fox Fine Jewelry moved down Main Street, across from the Mission. At 1,100 square feet, it was a spacious in comparison, but Fox Fine Jewelry outgrew this store too!
In 2014 Fox Fine Jewelry moved to their current location, a historic building they refurbished at 560 East Main Street in the heart of downtown Ventura.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Although I live in Westlake Village surrounded by a dozen jewelers, for the past 15 years I've been making the drive to Ventura to see Debbie and George for all my jewelry needs. Whether it's redesigning and modernizing older pieces, shopping for contemporary or estate pieces, or just a minor repair, Fox is truly family. Their staff is extraordinary, and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else."
