Is There Any Jewelry You Want to Keep?
Before your visit, consider whether any pieces have sentimental value or stones worth keeping.

Resetting: If there are diamonds or gemstones you might want to reset, you can sell the metal and keep the stones.
If you're not sure what a stone is, we can identify it. - Keeping: Bring in any pieces you love for us to clean and inspect them. We’ll let you know if any repairs are recommended.
Is my Jewelry Real Gold or Costume?
Not sure if your jewelry is gold? A simple magnet test will help sort your pieces before your visit.
- If the piece is magnetic, it is costume jewelry (not precious metal)
- If it is not magnetic, it may be gold! Bring it in and we'll test it for you.
Important Clasp Note: Many clasps contain tiny magnetic springs, even on real gold jewelry. Always test the main body of the piece, not just the clasp.

Do You Buy Sterling Silver?
We buy sterling silver jewelry, flatware, and serving pieces. Look for stamps such as 925, sterling silver, or sterling. Can’t read the stamp? Just bring it in - we’re happy to help!
We do not purchase silver plated or non-stamped pieces. For sterling knives, the value of the non-sterling blade is deducted.
Do I Need an Appointment?
We recommend making an appointment if you have a couple of dozen pieces or more. For smaller quantities, just stop in.

Do You Buy Pearl and Bead Strands?
Pearl and bead strands can be beautiful, but usually have a very low resale value because supply far exceeds demand. While the clasps often hold scrap value, it’s rare that we buy complete pearl or bead strands.
Do I Need to Bring Documentation?
If you have lab reports (such as GIA reports) for natural diamonds or high-value gemstones, please bring them. Other paperwork, such as receipts and appraisals, is helpful but not required.
